It feels so good to post paintings again. :)

I love Winslow Homer's paintings. He hasn't received that much recognition.

Winslow Homer (1836 – 1910) was an American landscape painter and printmaker, best known for his marine subjects.

Thats a tough one.
There's so much I like I couldn't possibly pick a favourite!

I have a walter heubach watercolour thats quite unique, its a painting of an alpen scene, he normally did just animals.

Thanks ftil. I'd never heard of Winslow Homer before now. They're actually really nice, especially 'The Adirondack Guide'.

I really like Art Nouveau and the Pre Raphelites.

I couldn't resit to post Egon Schiele's art - Agony (The Death Struggle)
It expresses so well the agony on DI forum.

Egon Schiele (12, 1890 – 1918) was an Austrian painter, a protégé of Gustav Klimt, Schiele was a major figurative painter of the early 20th century. His work is noted for its intensity, and the many self-portraits the artist produced. The twisted body shapes and the expressive line that characterize Schiele's paintings and drawings mark the artist as an early exponent of Expressionism.

I like to support my local artists - Michael Morgan you can see some of his painting here www.marinehouseatbeer.co.uk/catalog/arti...&galleryid=20&page=1 - I have quite a few original and prints.

I love Geigers work

Used to be really into graffiti - to photo rather then paint myself - I love painting but its more of a hobby then a skill in my case :)
Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known.

Thanks for the Mucha ftil :)

I had also forgotten about Ernst Ludwig Kirchner who was one of my favourite artists when I was at school doing art. George Frederic Watts and Egon Schiele :)

Thought I'd chip in with some Joan Miro. I'd never really appreciated his paintings until I went to a Miro exhibition. They really are something special when you see them in the flesh :)

As thor mentioned earlier, one of my favourites is also Giger. Most fascinating of minds and the work he produces is nothing short of brilliant in my opinion.

He's most famous for being the creator of the Alien from the Alien saga and one of Blondie's LP covers.
