Yes it's me. Well, the guitar is me, the backing track is what's called a general midi file that I put into my computer and messed about with, getting it to sound a bit better. The guitar is far from a perfect performance but when I listened back to it, I liked the feel of it so kept it, the odd pitching issues and all :D
The video was shot at a place called Porthcothan, which is down the road from here. It's a place I'm rather fond of. Several years ago now, on a trip down with the kids, it was there that I had a brief moment of clarity and decided I needed to move back to Kernow. The bench that appears in the footage is also important to me. It's dedicated to a young man that died at exactly the same age as the chap that I was in an accident with. It was on that bench, the autumn before this one, on the 5th anniversary of the accident, that I had a proper good chat with the chap. It was a turning point shall I say... It was when John and I actually became friends and when he gave me some very good pointers that ultimately proved crucial in my recovery.
