The message was out of order, but I wouldn't consider it an arrestable offence.

My very simple solution to all this stooopidness? Don't have anything to do with 'Twatter'/FB and the likes. Especially if you're famous.

But yeah, we have free speech to a degree. It's safe to say it's on its way out though.
What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday, and our present thoughts build our life of tomorrow: Our life is the creation of our mind.

He passive aggressively insulted a deceased father.

He never incited violence or anything to that effect. It was in bad taste and out of line, but to even be able to "talk" to him about this is scary shit. Next stop police state where prison is the biggest industry.

I dont see how its illegal to use gradeschool insults online.

That ^ blows my mind.

In my opinion and this is how and why I feel this way,no agenda just my thought's

Words hurt, just like a one on one against someone with a weapon or a fist, and words are powerful,a person well versed or a malicious person with evil intent can cause harm to someone not as strong or tolerant of verbal insults or abuse.

Freedom of speech is in my opinion not to be used as a weapon or maliciously against a individual, and that this fact should be recognized that many things said to someone hurts them more than a physical confrontation and causes real pain emotionally

I think Twitter is an absolutely appalling thing in practice (although it's quite a clever idea in principle), and why you would be on there if you were 'famous' when you are absolutely certain to be viciously abused by halfwits, I have no idea. Actually, I do know, it's because people can't resist the attention. Isn't it every kid's dream now to win X-Factor and have one-million Twitter followers? As far as I'm concerned the central popular culture now is just completely debased and debasing.

None of this excuses arresting someone for a malicious remark, but I find it difficult to feel much sympathy for the person involved.
The true measure of a man is not his intelligence or how high he rises in this freak establishment. The true measure of a man is this: how quickly he can respond to the needs of others and how much of himself he can give - Philip K. Dick.

Personally this type of technology has arrived to late IMO.
Imagine if young generations from the 60s,70s,possibly 80s had mobile phones, tweeting and internet forums the world would be a different place.People were more militant back then and not just consumer zombies like most of today's generation who use modern technology for all the wrong reasons.
Facebook is a prime example :hide:
