There are interesting things that distinguish left wing a right wing people, some even allege our brains are inherently different, our upbringings influence this to a degree aswell, philisophical, economic and scientifical views also have similar distinctions between conservative and progressive conceptions of reality on various levels, metaphysics, materialism, hegelian and marxist dialectics, conceptions of human nature, conceptions of reason/intelligence based on "natural" hierarchy etc, conception of history.
