Here's a dream that I had in 2006 that's remained fresh in my memory all these years. It was quite profound for me.
I was walking down a rundown street. It was a mix of old/condemned industrial complexes, and old two story Victorian homes. Metal fences line the sides of the street with weeds interwoven and intermingled between the chain links. There's old garbage all over. Some of it had been there so long that it was sun bleached and almost melted to the pavement. The scent of stale decay and rust filled my nose.
I was instantly aware that I was dreaming, which was the first time in a long time. Everything about the street told me to go back, but I felt compelled to continue on. I just had to know what was there. I walked for a while in the heat of the midday sun, watching the heatwaves rise up from the street and entangled roadside weeds. Not one sign of life was present, except for myself and the weeds, not even insects or birds were around. It was eerily quiet. Eventually I started to pass in front of this brown and yellow Victorian house on an overgrown hill. I felt like I knew this house, even though I didn't recall ever seeing it before.
I pushed open the rusty wrought-iron gate and proceeded up the overgrown front walk to the rundown porch. I had a fleeting moment of wanting to turn back, but entered the house anyway. As I entered into the darkness from the light, my nose was filled with the scent of stale death. I wanted turn and leave, but the door closed firmly behind me. I gave a few good tugs on the door, but it did not budge. I stood in place to allow my eyes to adjust to the dim red haziness of the interior as my heart raced. I thought to exit a window. They were how-ever boarded up and covered with dirty plastic sheets.
I stepped forward some into the room to get an idea of where I could go next. My eyes finally adjusted to the dark, revealing old piles of human bones on the floor. The old wooden floor was stained with what I assumed was old blood. The walls themselves had really old and peeling wall paper. I heard a scuffle somewhere in the house, and I really started to get scared at that point. I heard then a really creepy disembodied voice speak. It sounded like several different voices melded into one. It said, "Oh there you are... I think I'll come visit" and laughed.
I froze out of fear for a few seconds and scrambled behind one of the bone piles. Not long after, I noticed the room start to get darker than it was. A dark mass floated into the room and paused in the middle of the room. "I know you're here, and I'll find you too..." It continued on into the next room. I stood up and crept over to the left wall of the house where I noticed a long hallway. I figured it was my best bet to get out. As I went down the hallway, it started to become unnaturally dark. It got so dark that I had to run my hands along the wall to feel my way though. The further along I went, the more disgusting the wall felt. It was soggy and smelled horribly. I could feel insects crawling over my hand as I went along. I eventually reached the end of the hallway to find a large heavy wooden door, similar to the types in castles.
I pulled open the heavy door only to have it creek loudly. I was instantly thinking that I had given my position away and paused to listen for the dark entity coming. After about 30 seconds, there was nothing. I proceeded down a set of old stone winding steps. At the bottom I would reach an old crypt that had been converted into a storage space for old winery items. Vineyard buckets, casks, and other items were lined along the inlets in the wall. Thankfully the basement area had working hanging electric lights. I proceeded along until I reached a corner area with a bricked off door to my left, and a right turn toward a larger room with a bulked. It was my ticket out of there, so I started moving faster.
Unfortunately, I became a little too excited and knocked over a large pile of metallic wine buckets. They made a very loud echoing sound that seemed to reverberate through the whole house. I stopped instantly, holding my breath to listen. A few second passed, and I thought I was in the clear. Just as I went to continue on, I heard that creepy voice as the dark mass emerged from the bricked off door. "I found you!" it said, as it began to materialize. It took the shape of an undead woman with needle-like teeth, and sunken green eyes that glowed. I was frozen with fear at that point. She grinned at me, exposing the needle teeth and said, 'You're mine now!". She began to float toward me with an outreached claw.
I was to the point where I felt like I was pushed to my personal brink. I could feel my physical body sweating. Something happened though. I wasn't about to just give in. I started to glow an indigo color and broke out of the paralysis. The creature stopped floating toward me and looked a little frightened. She tried to go back into the wall, but I didn't let her. I sent my fist sailing at her right eye. When it connected, this disgusting green ooze started spewing out. The creature started to wail loudly, dematerialized back into the dark mass, and went back into the wall. The house shook violently at that instant, and continued to. It started to fall in on itself. The ceiling was caving in, dust was everywhere, and I felt disoriented. I heard yet another disembodied voice, though this one was different than the dark entity's. It was warmer and almost powerful in a sense. It only said one word, "Hurry!" With renewed clarity, I made a dash for the bulked. Just as I got there, the doors flew open. A blinding golden light filled the room. A person's hand was all I could make out. It was reaching for me. Who-ever it was had on white and gold armor. I reached up, and took the hand. I was pulled into the light and woke up in a pool of sweat.
Dayum!! Talk about the makings for an awesome episode of
The Twilight Zone or
The Outer Limits!! And what was so intense about it was that it was a lucid dream!! I always fuck my lucid dreams all up. Once I realize that I'm dreaming, I always perv out with my go-to-response after seeing that it's all lucidified with my famous
"Naked chicks Everywhere, naked chicks EVERYWHERE!!!"
Then I wake up. Every damn time!

Here's a recent strange dream...
Friday night I had a dream I was sitting in a meadow with my cat. We were just lounging around in the tall grass. A white stag exited a dark forest at the rim of the meadow, and trotted over to where we were. My cat became frightened and flew away. Flying cats should be strange, but it seemed normal there. Anyway, this stag started to chat with me telepathically (even stranger still). He told me that my life would improve if I would stop resisting what I was supposed to be doing. When I asked what I was supposed to be doing, he said, "You'll know". I tried asking more questions, but he ignored me and trotted back to the dark forest. I laid in the grass some more watching clouds, and pretty much put what the stag said behind me. I woke up not long after, got ready for work and left. As I left my neighborhood, an albino deer ran in front of my car. I was pretty spooked to say the least.

Yeah, there's really something to that Indie, for real!! White stag in a dream giving way to an albino deer in real life the morning after?? Oh man, it literally jumped out at ya, in every respect!!!

Mrindigo,
That is a really cool dream experience! Have you looked into deer symbolism? Must be significant that it was an albino, as well! That had to be a message for you or perhaps it is like your spirit animal or something. Maybe he was not done with you so much as introducing himself..."Hi! I'm your spirit guide, follow me!"

Hey, ya never know! I don't see how it could be coincidence!
My thoughts EXACTLY!! Right on, K-Bone!!
Yeah Indie, there's no coincidence there. You done had you one of them "medicine dreams"!!!
