Which brings me to thinking this. Progress. Wiping out the rainforest for lumber and land all the while native tribes being pushed into extinction. Not that it's
just for the reason of pushing them off of land their ancestors of thousands of years have occupied, therefore killing a lot of who and what they are, but I'm sure that's factored into the equation in those wonderful, humanitarian "think-tanks" that are so popular among the upper-corporate culture.
Like with all the NDN's in the U.S. being pushed off of their land, relocated to places that they're not even suited to live in. (Ex. Cherokees being kicked out of their homelands and pushed into Texas) I'm positive that there were those that
knew that once they sever those ties to ancestral lands then they take a lot of any particular peoples "magic" away too. Spiritual, medicinal, everything weakens as a tribe gets dislocated from its lifeline to Nature.
