Visited a mate who was up in Athens for a few days the other week, we ended up watching The Pink Panther cartoon and in our stoned state really enjoyed it! Anyway, we got to discussing the modern phenomena of giving all animated characters more and more human traits and thereby losing some of their magic. As well as crossing all language barriers cartoons such as the pink panther also push the producers to express him in other ways. I remember settling down with my step lad some moons ago to introduce him to the joys of Tom n Jerry by watching Tom n Jerry The Movie, within minutes they were speaking but worse was to come, they could now sing and fill the film by making it a fekkin musical.

Anyway, thoughts? Are there modern day equivalents of the likes of Roadrunner, Pink Panther etc I've missed? Am I just an old fart yearning for things to be how they used to be?
