It's probably just stressing out due to people posting things in weird sections :P :D

The applaud / smite functions seem to work to a deeper logic that I am unable to comprehend.

Sometimes it works, but mainly it doesn't.

I've decided that I can only applaud someone if I have earned enough karma points, but I can smite as much as I want because negative karma is cheaper.

Is that correct?

The thing with the karma is you can only hit a button once every 6 hours. That's the only limit on a member's use of it.
Bloody stupid and pointless part of the kunena way if you ask me, which you didn't :)

It is lots of fun, tho, especially with oioioi and his 69 pension age fixation :couch:

I havent yet smited today. Applauding is so boring, I will still give a PLUS + , but i still call it a smite cos that is more fun!

Once every six hours, yikes. ... I only get around to it once in 24 hours, thats if i check in every day, which i have so far, cos i luv this place, nicest peeeps are here. No agro. Sensible discussions without crap. Kind people. Makes a nice change. :) :)

Oh, yeah, lots of cool smilies, helps everyone to be more positive! :2cool:

The only thing that bugs me is that sometimes some threads get updated and they don't show new threads for me.
Its all free stuff though, can't complain considering the amount of posts there are now and it picking up etc. ;)

Can you give more details about the issues you're experiencing please? Can you also provide OS and browser details including versions.

There is no spellchecker built into the forum editor, that is a browser feature.

I'm not sure why your having problems with changing avatars it seems to function correctly when I have changed mine.

I have noticed that and I had thought it was because I change machines regularly and sometimes have sessions open on more than one machine or browser. Kunena also seems to get the new posts count data on threads wrong regularly. Which I had also put down to different sessions being active.

Yea that what I like about this place it's cool as hell, and not much hammering the head about useless debate and blatant arguing like the other miserable stressed out mood in the other forum.

This is a haven of pleasure, and a sanctum for the cool

If its got a mysql db and a timed backup window then it might be due to not haveing r/w access during the backup window perhaps.
Can't think of much else tbh :)

It is mysql ( i ) and the backups aren't run at a regular time and the directory isn't in the public root and does have read write permissions.

I tend to use the latest version of FF on a Win7 box more often than anything else and I have not had the issues you mention. What happens when you have a problem with adding a new topic or avatar?

The most common problem with logins are due to local cookie and script policies/management the sessions can sometimes go out of whack which presents a token error. If you clear the cookies refresh and accept the EU policy again login should be trouble free.

Sometimes I try to log in, and it takes 3 times. Then when I get in, I hit "quote" or "reply to topic" and it takes me to a log out page. I also have no emoticons, and have to type in the code for them, as well as for bold, and italics. I will clear my browser and run disk cleanup, and that sometimes takes care of the login problem but not the smilies.... :( See? I had to type that! :chuckle: and that too! I also tend to time out really fast, so I copy every post, in case I'm timed out.

I read someone had posted that Google chrome works better than this very crappy new release of IE, so I'll try that. I don't mind typing in code, or the other things so much, it's all part of the charm. ;)

ron ive had chrome from the start and the forum is flawless for me.

so does diamondgeezer.

though i do have IE and it seems to work fine there too.

Im on windows 7 ultimate OS now, but not long ago i was often on an old laptop, dell D610 with XP and still didnt have any issues in both chrome and IE.

Chrome might still be worth a shot though (hears frog cringe :hahano: )
