We will repeat ourselves and I'm gonna do just that now to try and avoid doing it too much more this week...
I know I’ve read it somewhere but remind me, what are the immediate pressing issues that require attention before any handover can take place?

Coming to some sort of agreement before we throw people to the wolves when the handing of the reins occur...
How things are basically gonna work, if people can abide by decisions, how we are gonna move forward... like, voting issues vs consensus issues, how many votes = majority in what time frame and default decisions, what we are willing to trust people running the site to do if they HAVE to make a decision for everyone else, who we are gonna hand the reins over to when DG, Frog, Novum step down (unless they want to continue)... and the most pressing issue...
can we get along for a time span longer than 5 minutes :O :chuckle: (i think we got that one covered though)

So it's...

Who will press the buttons?
What buttons will they be allowed at?
How will we decide such matters?

IMO, right now yes, as it is on a time frame and whoever we put there has the right to know what to expect before they agree to take the position.

Well to my mind mikeys list that's quoted elsewhere covers point 2 well enough for now, unless anyone has any major objections.
As for the 'Who' we need a thread for nominations with a time limit on it. Vote on each nomination separately, "do you want X to be a mod Y/N?" Personally I'd like the % split on that to be higher than 51-49 so there are no contentious nominees. Then we can see how many nominees we've got and how many slots to fill.

I haven't contacted anyone from that nom/vol thread yet, was giving it a couple days for them to see it on their own and voice whether they'd take it there or not. I'll do that after my appointment today, give them almost another full day to respond there on their own.

Will have to copy and paste MM's points there for the basic layout of what they are agreeing to do in that position, with a side note of "details still to be worked out".

Question is really can we identify what issues CAN be arrived at by consensus in advance rather than what cannot be I suppose yep?

Anything that isn't time sensitive/pressing if there is the will.

It would be nice to be able to identify specifics in advance I suppose.
I'm guessing we'll come across these as we move along in time and I hope that common sense will reign and we'll put such issues up for consensus as and when they arrive.
I can't think of anything off the top of my head right now but my head hurts, I've been arsing with mysql all day on windows of all the bloody operating systems to run it on :)

To be perfectly honest, after a couple of days not posting, I've had a flourish earlier and my heads shot too atm.

Everyone agreeing on a voting percentage would be an ironic start.

lol well 4 votes for 15 at the moment is a good start I suppose, still 3 others who can't agree though :)

You can change mine to 15. I just pressed one of the stupid ones when I was in a strop.

I haven't been contributing to these decision threads this last few days, because I was mad that only a very few members could be bothered to join in the debates on the same subjects a few weeks ago, when it might have made a difference to people who've since got frustrated enough to leave. I'm not trying to offend anybody, or be antagonistic, but it's upset me and I've been stewing on it, so there, I've said it now.

Cool :)

There's not much to get worked up at tbh.

Forums still here, nothings change for the worse, carry on as normal I spose :)

I don't wish to perpetuate any negative feeling, and I do have faith in your self taking the helm, Andy, plus a desire for SZ to continue and thrive.

That said, 3 people who I am particularly fond of (3, not 2 Frog) are pulling out, and you'll have to forgive me if I personally have felt sad about that. Someone said recently that I bruise easily.
