Now, don't get me wrong here - I'm all for moderation. I think it's essential for any forum that wants to keeps its shape or focus. Not heavy moderation, or prissy moderation, or selective moderation. But, without those Guiding Hands, I've seen places degenerate into Trolls Playgrounds and complete messes.

BUT, if the moderators want to be known as "moderators but not in the usual sense" why not just call yourself "Forum Staff", so that people know who to turn to when they need advice, support, posts moved or corrected. After all: you are working for the benefit of the forum (still as members, but doing a good job here) and it would identify you as a person to contact. (And it's a lot easier to say than Forum Facilitators).

And, really: Happy Days to you all. Good choices, I'd say.
