Apologies for the mail link - wouldnt normally link there but this story made me smile - its probably there for some propagada reason or other but still it makes a change from the usual doom and gloom :)
When he tripped outside a bank and the £1,000 he had just withdrawn was blown out of his hand, Barry Eastwood feared he had seen the last of his cash.

Onlookers stopped in their tracks and scrabbled to catch the notes as they were swirled around in the wind.

But instead of running off with the money, they headed straight back to the owner – and started handing it back.

Anyone else got any news stories that made them smile rather then want to smash something?
Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known.

When I was 8 years old mother and I were walking up the main street in town, on reaching Yorkshire Bank she noticed an envelpoe on the pavement right outside, she picked it up opened it and it contained a thousand pounds.
She immediately went into the bank and asked had someone lost this money in one of their envelopes and handed it over. The money belonged to the cheif inspector who had just taken out a loan and in a rush to an emergency dropped it on his way out.

She never recieved any reward.
