Even though half of Icke's stuff is waffle, and he harps on endlessly, and he's cashing in, and his forum is utterly bizarre, I still think he's a bit of a legend.

How long before I can send some nanobots down my spine to sort the fucker out then?
It reminds me a bit of The Numbskulls... tiny little things inside us operating everything.

Phew, I thought I was the only one that liked him. Well, it wouldn't bother me if that was the case, everyone is welcome to their own opinion.

He did do a good speech at Bilderberg the other day:

I just wish the lizards / moon spaceship / hollow earth wouldn't be mentioned, as most of the stuff he was writing about in "The Truth will set you Free" is credible and is happening / has happened already.

I understand why the monetary thing is an issue for people, but it's never been an issue for me. I would never give money for nothing, but if someone writes a book, I expect to have to pay to acquire a copy, and I'd rather the money went to the writer than the publisher. If it's too much, I won't buy it. If the book's no good, I'll put it down to experience and won't buy another one. Where I do think it gets a bit much is when you see AJ running a Moneybomb when he's evidently doing quite well. And I don't mind the fact that he's doing quite well, good luck to him. But you can't ask for people to give something for nothing, especially when you evidently have more money than them. Well, you can, but I don't think it's reasonable.

I've read at least ten Chomsky books, and he's a millionaire, allegedly. The character from my avatar is from Catch-22, written by Joseph Heller, definitely a millionaire. Does that mean Catch-22 has no merit as a novel? Does it mean that Heller only wrote it to make money and there was no sincerity in it? Would it have been a better novel if it had sold less copies? Do you have to be in the gutter to sell stuff? Because my friend bought some poems from a homeless guy in Central Park in New York, and trust me they weren't that good!

This post doesn't seem to be about cyborgs, but never mind. We all know that they're bad; they steal your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle.
The true measure of a man is not his intelligence or how high he rises in this freak establishment. The true measure of a man is this: how quickly he can respond to the needs of others and how much of himself he can give - Philip K. Dick.

I wouldn't say I disliked Icke either but I do find alot of his 'followers' quite freaky and make the whole worship aspect quite cultish but I don't believe he set out with that intention.

I believe he's stopped bringing out anything new and just repeats the same shit which he can never explain properly anyway.
Alex Jones and Ventura do a similar thing.
Even Alan Watt sounds tiresome and repetitive now.

The only one coming out with new and credible stuff is Matthew Delooze.

Dan Browns latest novel actually touches on transhumanism and also it's connection to wingnuttery- eugenics, malthusianism and the very thing I mentioned yonks ago about how only the rich could afford it etc
Also involves Venice and Florence which makes it all the more entertaining I suppose :)
