I guess my point in this is that I know a snake when I hear one and Salmond is most certainly one of those. I wouldn't trust him as far as I can throw him and I honestly believe that somewhere down the line, it will be evident that he sold the Scots up the river with this.

And doesn't he also believe that Scotland should be part of the EU?

I have no idea Sketts. What I do know is this, unless Scotland vote yes...they will be fooked for ever more. This is not just a once in a lifetime opportunity, this is for at least the next 300 years....unless they have an uprising of course!

I sincerely hope the Scots get this, because Westminster needs the Scots more than the Scots need Westminster. I've lived, worked, married and had kids up there, and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind (even 20 years ago ) that Scotland can go it alone. The only problem I see as I mentioned in another thread on here, is that the Scots will have in-fighting between the Unionists/Royalists and the William Wallace brigade if they do get it, and then it will be history repeating itself all over again.



PS...I do have a sneaky suspicion that Alex was brought out of retirement by Westminster, just to hit the right note to make sure this does not result in a yes vote. Anybody know what Kennedy's views are on secession?

So...Salmond, despite knowing that the thistle wearers can lawfully print their own debt free currency and have quite a bit that countries like England want, thinks the sporon munchers should continue to be tied to a decaying currency that ties them to debt forever.....or until the economies all slip down the plughole anyway...

He also thinks it prudent to have a nice period of sectarian strife....

Tbh though, is it possible for the whisky swiggers to break free of English rule without sectarian strife?
