At the danger of sounding anti semitic, I am just going to say this about this whole topic. Not the headline of DIF......not going to waste a minute of my time on that.....I mean this whole Semitism thing.
My view is there is a big difference between jews and Israelis. Problem is as I see it, the Israelis leave their British given homeland as is their right of course, and feel they have to have a finger in every 'control' pie in western society. I might be over simplifying things (because there is always a grey area), but traditional Jews, by the law of the Torah, know that they are the diaspora and would never have a country of their own. So, they are a divided people before we start.
I like to go back to the beginning when I look at stuff. Here's my out of the box view on this whole 'semitic' thing.
Jesus was born.....then disappeared from the 'history' we are presented with, unless you chose to have a little mooch around the apocrypha for example.
During his absentia time in the bible, he studied in the synagogue. So, he had 'inside' info if you will. If you look at other records, they allege that he even travelled as far away as India. All this time, and it is just my view, he is educating himself about the 'control' religion had over people of that time. When he finally 're-appears', his views begin to make sense to many, but especially not to his own kinsmen the jews. One thing leads to another, and he is sold out by them to the Romans.
So here we have a man who is born jewish, but is a philosopher, who has spent years growing up and questioning values, religion, faith, politics even. He gets 'sold out' by his kinsmen. By the nature of his personal philosophy, which resonates with people who are listening to him at that time, we have the birth of what became known as christianity....my arse....I would have sued! Anyways, his views were twisted and distorted to fit in with this new paradigm called christianity.
What happened then is no different to what is happening today.......control by the few of the many. They saw an opportunity to benefit themselves, you know....the 5%. By that I mean that the decision to crucify Jesus benefited both romans and jews. Now flip back to then, the birth of this new so called religion. It became ingrained that the jews had sold out one of their own, and just like chinese whispers, over the generations the whole thing has been distorted and manipulated by both so called christians and jews alike. The point is as far as I can tell, they were no different then to the politicians and bankers who control the masses now.
So over the couple of millenia, christianity becomes 'big business' the jews have lost what they perceive to be a huge slice of the cake, these 'christians' will never forgive the jews for what they did, so it becomes in-bred almost for the jews to be 'persecuted' for what they did to the 'founder' of this new 'control organisation', and the jews/israelis see themselves as always getting picked on by the big bullies, so the whole sorry mess becomes self perpetuating and on it will go ad infinitum.
As far as I can tell, the jews/israelis are just as bad as anti semitics who are constantly having a pop. But by the same token, so are the people who say "stop jew bashing". As long as all three parties keep up this constant "you're to blame", "I'm being persecuted", "stop picking on them" they have control of the masses. Because behind all this 'smoke and mirrors', that measly 5% that has control over all our lives, is made up of all three 'interested parties' The masses are just stupid enough to keep picking sides which perpetuates the whole thing.
It's about bloody time that the 95% realise we should leave that 5% in the primary playground and move on to secondary school.
