Religion is such a massive part of Scottish society, I don't see how you can possibly say this. In Britain, the Archbishop of Canterbury sits on the Privy Council and all of the political leaders send their kids to privileged faith schools and profess to have faith AFAIK (apart from Clegg who claims to be an atheist, but is sending his kids to a Catholic private school).
