a run on the banks would be like squeezing a zit

painful but cleansing

and a little ugly at first

the only difference being would be, that you don't get arrested for suggesting squeezing a zit

So obviously this i all just conjecture ;) :hide:

*Yawn*

This again?

You're not working for a bank, you have no right to an opinion on banks.

I might agree with Dawn

Except I am still based in the UK

My passport is British

I am working abroad but still sending my money back to the UK

I have two parents in the UK

I have a nephew, two sisters and a brother in the Uk

I am for all intents and purposes a guest in Italy

I have no Italian citenzenship in Italy

I have just spent the best part of half a year in the UK

I am here in Italy teaching our langugae and culture

I still contribute my NI to the UK

I am, for as many generations as can be traced, British.

But for a career that has been part of one of the greatest British financial, educational and cultural exports in history, I would be disenfranchised by you.

Sad.

How else would one describe ones geneology?

I am not claiming "indigenous" because the term is nonsensical to me.

It does not change with a "permesso di soggiorno"

Notions of nations are nonsense to begin with, so how do you talk about them rationally?

Ah but did any of your descendants witness the signing of the Magna Carta/the 1966 World Cup victory/arrive before/after* the formation of the channel etc. etc.?
