A very good question......

:dunno:

Then let's blame Novum for not pointing these things out to you. Yes, he's not here right now to defend himself. It's Novum's fault! :D

Aha! Well done. You can delete this superfluous post then if you like. :)

*Edit* I could delete it myself, but Novum will still be able to read it.

Whereas, if I just edit it, to remove the incriminating evidence of having blamed him, I don't know whether he'll still be able to read it or not, because nobody answered the question when I asked if you mods can see the before and after versions of edited posts, like we could elsewhere! :bat:

My guess is that the sket has eaten novum and is now lying holed up in it's dormant post feast state. Now is the time to strike brave resistors...

But at this point theres no hope for novum. Hes a gonner. Another brave back room fiddler goes the way of the acid tongue and gut.
I salute you fallen but valiant resistor. Least i would if i could get the smiley on me phone.

And as if by magic, the ban is lifted...

I read that this wont help brits have cheap gas because under eu law, energy is sold to the highest bidder.
So apart from maybe a few jobs, britain will gain nothing from the destruction of our countryside, the pollution....

Gas fracking: Ministers approve shale gas extraction
www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20707574
But government advisers warn today that shale gas may be unlikely to bring down energy prices much in Britain.
In fact, the Committee on Climate Change warns that relying heavily on gas for future electricity supplies would leave households vulnerable to higher bills in the long run as the price of gas on the international market is volatile.
The UK won't benefit from substantially lower prices unless the rest of Europe decides to back shale gas too, as Europe has a gas grid that allows gas to be traded to the highest bidder

So the point of doing it is what?

Sure, we all like earthquakes and polluted water but it's hardly going to make us self sufficent.
