Slightly updated I see

Its still a classic bit of work though, nice to watch it again.
The first version was slightly incorect in places historically, the new one has it more or less right, what I would like him to explain is, the highlanders who were cleansed from the land, brought the pure inventiveness and honed crafts with them to the new towns that grew a hundred fold with that culture.
The inventions were already thought of, but they never had the power for them to fruit because of a lack of resorces, that were coming from overseas. The new found wealth and products they were making were themselves used to under cut the American drought and famine, it is a constant starvation model being instigated by using know global weather records, and good people against their skilled counterparts the world over.
If the people actually knew what is going on, they could vote their labour from out of the fat conttollers stranglehold.
I would go further actually and explain why the things we create to serve us end up ruling us.
This is an important point and I've raised it a few times by comparing it to things like 2001 where A.C.Clarke talks about how mans tools evolved to control man.
The flaw is in man not in the tools, the tools do precisely what they were designed to do
Money was a tool which became the controller.
Politics was a tool which became the controller.
Religion was a tool which became the controller.
Technology was a tool which became the controller.
It is mans reliance and allowance of these things to become paradigm that sets the stage for what inevitably happens.
We do not question these things or their relevance in all situations and really we ought to, we should question the relevance and importance of everything and always be willing to change, this is what evolution is all about. Instead we have chosen to rely on those things and allowed them to set our environment.
I can give many examples.
eg= Money = fractional reserve banking, hedge funds, futures trading
Politics= nation states, separatism (superiority), war, authoritarianism, conservatism, prejudice, division
Religion= ideology, dogma, separatism and superiority (again), war (again), authoritarianism (again), conservatism (again), prejudice (again)..you get the idea.
Technology= to serve and reinforce all the above instead of what really matters

You can bundle in science as being the same as technology because at the end of the day its doing exactly the same thing. the research is all geared towards serving the top 3. (yes including religion...think about it lol)
Science should not be what it is, so it is obviously as skewed as the religion is.
An ideal world I guess would have only science and spirituality in perfect harmony. That really would take evolution so to speak.
There would be no place for money, politics or religion in such a world. Only epic common sense, I hope that my great great great grandkids might live to see the day
