Hi, dawn - that combo actually doesn't sound too bad!

I like ginger nut biscuits topped with Cheddar cheese. I also like cheese-and-Marmite toasties, which makes my poor OH turn green! Actually, many of my fave foods involve cheese, although as I'm lactose intolerant cheese isn't too keen on me these days!

That actually sounds really good! A friend and I used to have crunchy nut cornflakes mixed with chunks of mature cheese when we were kids. These days I like an avocado, crisp and Marmite sarnie for a treat sometimes. Baked beans with chopped up avocado and processed cheese on top are also pretty fine! :)

Watermelon & feta cheese.

To be fair it's the norm here, not considered at all 'ick'.

My favourite combinations for food, is this, any form of Meat or Fish curry with rice. You cannot beat that at all.

McDonalds fries or Mcnuggets dipped in their hot fudge (chocolate) sundae topping. :umm: :larf:

Have done that a few times in the past (as well as lots of other stupid things that are even worse than eating McPoison. ) :larf:

Sadly me and avocados don't see eye to eye, but a Marmite and crisp sarnie sounds OK! I love Marmite!

Crunchy nut cornflakes and cheese sounds...different! I like both of those, but would never have dreamed of putting them together! I'd be willing to give it a try!

Chips (fries) and mayonnaise! Actually, I think mayo goes nicely with just about everything!

Ooh, did Pheony say Goat-Curry? Absolutely lush.

Also as Mountain said, pineapple on pizza, double-lush.

Chips with mayo, had it in Norway, still not sure about that one.

Plain crisps with salad-cream...oh yummy.

A granary roll, buttered, with banana and black-pepper...lovely.

Marmite and peanut butter in a croissant...lovely.

I've probably asked this before but what's your Greek link? That's not the first reference I've seen you make. (Typing in Greek was also a heavy hint).

My OH has just reminded me that for several months he pleaded with me to let him try a recipe involving pork, grapes, peanuts and soy sauce. I refused at first on the grounds that it sounded really ick, but eventually I gave in - and it was delicious! One of my favourites now, in fact. OH has since done other nice recipes involving grapes (eg. chicken & grapes with rice). Yum!

A bowl of tomato soup with a generous helping of penne pasta mixed in, and small pieces (we don't have a grater :hahano: ) of mature cheddar over the top, quite nice.

That sounds lush! I'd eat it! My friend and I used to like little pieces of mature cheddar in our crunchy nut cornflakes.

I'm an avocado fiend and I have them in sarnies, either with marmite or sweet chilli dipping sauce. Crisps are also good within the sandwhich. I have avocado and sweet chilli sauce with most things.

I've always been a bread and cheese person. Everyday i'd just grab a bagel and a hunk of cheese and that's all i needed.

You're probably addicted to cheese. I used to eat it every day.

If you love cheese so much and joke that you think you might be addicted -- well, you probably are. Dr. Neal Barnard, founder and president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, didn’t famously call cheese “dairy crack” for no reason. But if you’re looking for someone to blame for your new-found addiction, head to the barnyard: It’s all the cows’ fault.

The primary protein in milk is casein. When the human body digests casein, it produces casomorphins, which have an opiate-like effect on humans. Because cheese is denser than, for example, milk, the casein is more heavily concentrated, meaning that eating cheese produces a larger amount of casomorphins in the body compared to eating other dairy products.

Cheese-related research going as far back as the ‘80s has also confirmed that cheese contains small amounts of morphine. Scientists postulate that cows produce morphine in their milk because it helps calm their calves, making sure the young cows bond with their mothers and come back for more (does this make cows the dairy farm equivalent of drug dealers?)

I love cheese, especially mature cheddar... the quality stuff has calcium lactate crystals in it.
