Interesting Rick. I don't wear anything, not even a watch.

I find the whole idea of talismans intriguing, holding magical properties and that. Do they work? etc.

I don't feel that I need a talisman.

A few tats are my only adornments.

I imagine that being a focus for the mind, talismans and stuff have their uses and can be effective for many. It's just not something I personally do.

I have had a necklace for most of my life... When I was kid it was the cross, then later when I got into heavy metal it changed into pentagram. At a time I got this period when I had inverted cross all the time, not really as a talisman, but to stir up some talk and to provoke people to talk about it.

I haven't had a necklace for a long time. I have the pentagram, but seldom wear it.

I think talismans do work, but I think it's the energy and meaning which wearer gives to it, not the symbol itself. That's quite obvious when you think of it, there's millions of people who wear the cross for example, when asked, there will be ton of different stories why they have it. So i think the person wearing a talisman gives it its power and meaning, if there is any.

I have nothing to back this up except my own experience, during times when I used to wear the pentagram all times, I nearly never got in any kind of trouble.... Could be sheer luck I suppose, but it seemed to work. I used to picture in my mind how the neclace pentagram was radiating an blue aura of energy around me, as a kind of a energy shield which reflects anything I don't like. It really works.

I don't have a talisman as such, but I lost my little brother six years ago and tend to wear his silver chain alot as it makes me feel closer to him for some reason.

So I guess I've turned it into my own special talisman

I have a special talisman that works every single time that I use it. I suppose you could say that it has magical properties, though I don't tend to think of it in that way, it's simply something that works to me.

Nope. no talismans. No piercings, no tattoos, nothing except my wristwatch, which I don't always wear. Oh, and my keys. Mostly for my bike lock.

i think its a focus for our mind .. it has a meaning and memories.. without any context a talisman is just an object

I don't have a talisman. Got some tattoos, but they don't mean anything. I don't wear a watch or jewellery apart from earrings and I get annoyed with things round my wrists, neck and fingers.

There is a woman locally who I call 'the evil one'. Her son used to go to the same school as mine (this is the school that I live opposite). This woman had it in for me from day one. Her youngest son still goes to the school near my house and I sometime catch her giving me evil stares in the morning when I have a coffee and fag in my garden (bitch), so I have hung up some feng shui type stuff to reflect her evil vibes back at her. Oh, and I also have my little Anubis figure protecting my threshold.
