The conspiragurus are fair game imo, though I agree entirely with Wub's comments on freedom of speech.

But Dubs, while you're pointing out that Sod has his haters, you're surely aware that he makes cruel jibes about virtually everybody, and spreads plenty of hatred (in the threads quoted, gays are an example) but he just does it in a particular tone so that he can sidestep responsibility by calling 'tongue in cheek'.

While I like some of Sod's humour, and Rense is a prat, I see little admirable about Sod's conduct in general to induce folk to stick up for him like they do. :conf:

Gilly, I've even said it on this thread that I don't condone Sod...!!! posting the sort of things he did here when he first joined.
I was one of the most vocal about it at the time and even penned him a rap that wasn't exactly complimentary.
I've been consistent in asking him to show respect, imho the sort of things you point out don't do him or anyone else any favours at all even though I genuinely think that there is no malice intended.
When he socked here with the Hebrew name he showed that he'd been paying attention and his posts were very respectful of the place and the people here. Just a shame he came in by the back door and was consequently banned for that imo.
I'm not sticking up for him as such, I couldn't give a fig if Sodlike gets shut down by the poodle's boot boys, the place is dead anyway, equally it doesn't bother me if the whole affair is real or one of Sod...!!!'s bits of fun. Sod...!!! is someone I enjoy nattering with in chat from time to time that's about all there is to it.
That may change IF he decides to knock on the front door, sort things with Hex (I still don't respect you for not taking the opportunity you had in chat to do that Sod...!!!) and start posting in the vein he did as Hebrew Sod...!!!
