Note: If you were to send the link to someone via email for example they would be accessing the page from an external source, which means the routing is different in that case you would provide the url with the http: // protocol appended. When accessed locally the path is relative externally the path needs to be absolute although the routing seems to behave strangely with that extension which brakes the sef url for some reason.

but if i delete the %8 stuff, then type /myzone/dubmeup and press enter i get there? what is the difference between c&p and typing it?

The %xx characters are due to url encoding which shouldn't be there as there are no odd spaces or other special characters in the string. I went into the DB tables directly to make sure there were no errors in the entry and the data is good. @Batou, when you type it directly in the browser there is no translation imposed by the site scripts generating the url to request.
