In Port Macquarie, where I lived prior to recently moving up to the Gold Coast, there's a koala hospital, mainly because of the damage to the habitat of the koala's done by the build up of the area through the destruction of the koala's natural habitat ... trees.

Driving down Kennedy Dr one day, I noticed a koala on the road and pulled over, got out and attempted to stop any cars driving by so it could get off the road safely. One fucking idiot completely ignored me and didn't even slow down. So, concerned that the koala would be hit by a car, I picked it up to carry it off the road.

The koala dug it's claws into my arms, about an inch in depth, which I can tell you fucking hurt, though I got it to the side of the road and put it on the grass. It was still very stressed out and was making a lot of noise, so I followed it up the side of the road to make sure it didn't go back out onto the road.

A few doors up the road it headed into someones yard and the next door neighbours, two women, noticed me and asked what was happening. I got them to call the koala hospital to see if they could help out in any way. By this time, the koala had climbed the wooden fence and headed into a tree next to the fence and I was up on the fence reassuring it by talking to it. One of the women, on the phone to the koala hospital, basically said this ...

"No, it's in a tree now."

"He's up in the tree with it" (I was on the fence)

"Well, it's rubbing noses with him now"

:D

So, apart from some serious puncture wounds on my forearms, I got to rub noses with a koala ... which is something that I will remember forever. :thumbup:

Anyway, the video you posted reminded me of that day, so thanks again. :thumbup:
