You think the IRA is about keeping Ireland free of the royals? LMFAO!!
It was about in fighting between the Irish themselves more so than it was ever aimed at the UK govt.
Are you saying my youtube education of Ireland is inaccurate?
Hell yes.
While the irish supposedly 'hate' the brits they have been nothing but progressively voting with the same policies as the brits with their own government and even welcomed the queen in large numbers recently..I know I was there!
I was the only guy giving the royals the bird, the irish were all smiling and waving ffs lol!
When it comes to the troubles in Ireland, forget what the americans on youtube think...they haven't a bloody clue whats been going on.
Hey Andy
May I first say that I have admired your posts on a certain other site , mainly because of the well balanced view you gave and were clued up on a lot of the things you posted on , but.........
I find your post in this thread staggering
You were the only one in Ireland giving the queen the bird ? As I say staggering .
Voting ? What other option do these people have , these people are tired , their country has been ripped apart and ravaged by a war started by the brits . lets just hope that certain people in the political game are aiming to get into the belly of the beast and dismantle them with their own double speak and so called democratic laws .
I know you live on the outskirts of Cork (or did) but you really don't seem to grasp it , never mind the Americans , Cork is a Republican stronghold in the south , no if , buts or maybe's , and believe me Cork and it's republican people are not in a minority , it is by far the other way about , where what you may have witnessed some flag waiving twats , these people are in the most miniscule of minorities on that isle . There are many people who will march in Ireland against brittish rule and it's monarchy , what the people of Ireland want is a fair crack at the whip and not be treated like second class citizens in their own country like they have been through the ages , the tide is turning , slowly , but it's turning .
Maybe you and some others here should take the youtube trip and find out some stuff about Irish history , and while your there look up the 32csm , maybe you'll learn something .
As for the heading of this thread about Gaddafi , he may well have been killed for this reason , it certainly didn't do him any favours in the mortality stakes , but I'm sure there were many other factors leading to his sad death , so good on you RealAmerican , keep researching about Ireland , you will find that the deeper you look you will see that 99% of the atrocities that happened through the troubles period will have the blood stained hand print of the security services (who are led by the brittish monarchy). Scumbags , one and all.
Saoirse
The people in Cork were all welcoming, smiling, the Queen even took a walkabout round the town centre market.
This is all documented and factual.
Most of the trouble in Ireland of late is about money, drugs and family/clan warfare than anything else.
Sure the brit govt did indeed commit some atrocity but the irish have shot themselves and each other in the foot for as long as I can remember.
Do you think the brits are all that much different really?
None of them really know much about whats really going on, they're too interested in petty bullshit to be bothered.
Gadaffi was killed for the same reason the 'arab uprising' is happening throughout the middle east.
Its a coup being sponsored by those who wish to control the oil.

What about it?
Do you think the majority of the irish even give a shit? lol
What people care about at the end of the day, is being able to pay their bills, put food in their gobs and a roof over their heads.
I've irish relatives, it's not like I get my info from some conspiracy sites and YT.
The IRA are not the irish govt, the two are quite different.
Have you researched who shot Michael Collins? The irish have been killing the irish for ages now. Its not like they have any kind of 'unity' any more than the brits do.
I don't understand the denial tbh.

Hey Andy
I don't need to read wikipeadia to find out who , what or why Michael Collins was killed .
I am from an Irish imigrant family , and I'm a staunch republican .
Lets just sat Michael Collins was killed for the exact same thing that Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness are doing in this day and age .
there's not a lot you could teach me about republicanism , but if you can I'm all ears , as every day is a school day .
here are a few lines of a song that maybe you should research and have a listen , as in R.E. Michael Collins
Take it down from the mast Irish traitors , it's a flag we republicans claimed , IT WILL NEVER BELONG TO FREESTATERS , YOU HAVE BROUGHT ON US NOTHING BUT SHAME .
I have put one line in caps that sums it it quite nicely .
I bear no ill will or want to fight with you on these matters , but you should take it upon yourself to research the 32csm , they are well up to speed with the IMF and how they have destroyed Ireland by proxy .

It simply boils down to this, the IRA do not represent the irish anymore than the government do or the PIRA or countless other such groups and institutions.
The irish are quite happy to subject themselves to the EU for example, so I fail to see how 'republican' these people really are tbh.
The ones in the north seem also in the majority to be happy the way they are, they've been given 2 opportunities to state otherwise already.
One govt in control is the same as another as far as I'm concerned. We're all fucked regardless.

Please research the 32csm
The P.I.R.A are long gone , they are Gerry and Martin . As I said in previous posts , maybe fighting the beast at their own game , and maybe that is why they are still alive today , unlike Michael Collins . Or did they take the 30 pieces of silver hmmmmmmm , not that's a $40,000 question
If you care to look at the 32csm you will find that they are well upto speed with the IMF and what they are doing/done to Ireland , but are being stopped at every turn by your HM forces , interment is in full swing in Ireland , there are people on hunger strike as we speak , but you don't hear of any of this .
The 32csm have offices in every major town in Ireland .

There have been protests over the decision to restrict the flying of the union flag at Belfast City Hall.
But how did 'The Troubles', which caused thousands of deaths, first begin?
Ninety years ago Ireland was split in two after people living there went to war against their British rulers.
The south became a separate state, now called the Republic of Ireland.
But the break-up led to decades of unrest and violence in Northern Ireland, which remained part of the UK.
There are two main sides:
Nationalists or republicans, who are mainly Catholic, believe the north should join a united, independent Ireland.
Unionists or loyalists, who are often Protestant, think Northern Ireland should stay as part of the United Kingdom.
The period known as 'The Troubles' began in the late 1960s and lasted for nearly 30 years.
British troops were deployed to Northern Ireland, at first to protect Catholics, but soon became involved in bursts of fierce fighting with paramilitary groups.
Thousands of people on both sides were killed by bombs and bullets, while republican groups also launched attacks on England.
What's the situation in Northern Ireland now?
Police Service officers in Northern Ireland still regularly carry guns
The Good Friday Agreement was signed in 1998 and was seen as a major step towards peace in Northern Ireland.
It led to the Northern Ireland Assembly being set up. It makes many political decisions affecting people in Northern Ireland and has members from all sides of the community.
But there are fears that violence is returning to a number of small areas where Protestants and Catholics live closely together.
Ronan Kerr, a 25-year-old police officer, was killed by a car bomb in Omagh in April 2011.
That was followed in June 2011 by several nights of rioting in East Belfast.
Three people were shot in the city's worst street violence in a decade.
Who are the main groups?
DUP - Democratic Unionist Party - The largest party in Northern Ireland. DUP leader Peter Robinson is also Northern Ireland's first minister.
Sinn Fein - The largest nationalist party in Northern Ireland. It is seen as the political arm of the IRA and is the second biggest party on the NI Assembly. Martin McGuinness is Northern Ireland's deputy First Minister.
UUP - Ulster Unionist Party - The second-biggest unionist party, but has lost some of its support over the last few years
IRA - Irish Republican Army - A paramilitary group which was set up to fight for a united Ireland, but is now committed to peace. A splinter group called the Provisional IRA was responsible for much of the republican violence during the Troubles. Other terrorist groups have grown out of the IRA, including the Real IRA and Continuity IRA (which are both also known as Óglaigh na hÉireann).
UVF - Ulster Volunteer Force - A loyalist paramilitary group which was set up to fight the IRA. Police blamed the UVF for starting the recent trouble in Belfast.
PSNI - Police Service of Northern Ireland - Northern Ireland's own police force was set up to replace the RUC (Royal Ulster Constabulary), which was seen by some nationalists as too closely linked to British authorities. Some violent republicans consider PSNI officers as fair targets.

The irish south of the border are also involved and their groups are not mentioned fully there.
Also the 'IRA' as you know it has many of its own small splinter groups with slightly different interests and its worth bearing in mind that a lot of it has little to do with religion. They have often killed their own with no involvement from the Brits.
It boils down to the usual petty flag waving bullshit mentioned above, that and crime, lots of it.
Again I have to ask the question, are they republicans if they vote to join the EU?
There's so much stupidity here it's epic, just epic.

As you can see, its NOT that big a deal anymore. This place is changing as it is everywhere. Nothing is always static or set in stone.
The people here in Ireland have basically exactly the same worries and concerns as people in the UK. There is very little to tell them apart.
This idea that the Americans have closer ties than the Brits to Ireland is laughable. The UK and Ireland are each others biggest trading partners respectively, they share a common culture that goes back hundreds of years and the real genuine people (not the criminals both in and out of govt and various groups) have nothing against each other, nor for that matter do they give a shit about any of this stupid crap. They have family on both sides of the pond and frequently visit and are at home just as easily in either country.
You may aswell compare scotland or wales, there's not much of a difference.
You will always find dickheads in every country on Earth, unfortunately they tend to be in the govt or the media or the forces or other criminal organisations
There's only so long you can beat the same drum and get a big enough crowd following it, especially when the people have better communication and education than in the past.
What happened with the clergy here in Ireland for example was a major major wake up call for the Irish and they sure as hell got the message.
The word on the street is beginning to match the way I've felt a long time, which is basically fuck govt, fuck the church, fuck the lot of them.
