I know this has nothing to do with the meaning of this site .

But can I just say fucking stupid headphones/earphones .....

£8 I paid for them and they wouldn't come out their packet ...and I need them now as I'm going to the shops and like listening to my mp3 on the journey

So I tried to open them......they wouldn't open so had to bring scissors in.......I have now cut right through them trying to open them.

I have four parts.......two headphones attached to nothing....and two wires attached to nothing !!!!!!!!

Stupid fucking headphones.

Do you think I could return them to asda and say they came like this and are broken

I took them back (because i was going to the shop) and said .........I bought these headphones.....look at them they are not attached to anything.

They gave me two new pairs of headphones as an apology for faulty goods. I will pay the good gesture forward as I believe in Karma and don't want something for nothing

That plastic packaging is a nightmare...trying to open it without damaging the item is a skill 9 out of 10 times you end up pulling so hard trying to prise the plastic apart that the item nearly goes flying.

The whole thread made me laugh. Every Christmas morning in our house is spent dissecting new toys & amputating limbs, trying to help the kids get into their presents. I think some of them are superglued to the packaging.

Dawn, you have to outsmart the packaging... Cut top, rip open like cavewoman

strip half an inch of the plastic coating and twist the wires together, then get some strong tape and wrap it round

OMG, I can sooo relate to this! IMHO, most packaging these days is completely OTT. Having said that, I buy quite a bit of stuff off eBay, and have often had problems with things not being packaged well enough. I once bought 2 pairs of woolly tights which arrived tightly wrapped in polythene which needed to be attacked with scissors. Unfortunately, the tights had no other packaging around them and I ended up damaging them with said scissors!

Did you get any earphones with your phone? sometimes they can be used depending on the fitting.
