Yeah that is typically how it happens... unless 1) you have a medical reason to have your stomach cut open and the baby taken out or 2) you have an OBGYN who doesn't know how to wait until baby is ready and bullies you into having your stomach cut open to take the baby out.

Crikey! I'd be a bit concerned about catching a cold wearing those. A pair of gloves and a bobble hat would complete the look and maybe afford a bit more protection from those frosty nights.
