I don't drive, nor do I own a car.

Although, I do pay for all of the above, when it is passed on to me as a consumer.

Not paying for shit is all good when your single, I didn't pay for electric, tv license, council tax or income tax, I became a ghost in the system.

When you have a family I didn't think it was right or proper to subject there's to such a lifestyle.

As others have said the the only way not to pay the tax is to steal it, unless you have alternative that is?

Best way to avoid paying taxes completely... become self sufficient. Gardens, living off the land, purchase land outright so there are no mortgages or payments to be made, get rid of the vehicle and either walk or ride a bike. When they start complaining about taxes on the land, if they charge those, claim squatters rights and tell them to fuck off.

Edit: I have no tried nor practiced the above... I currently live with someone who doesn't think it would work (either that or they just plain don't have the balls to tell the government, banks and institutions to go fuck themselves).

Or you could just be self employed and have expenses and be vat registered

i have encountered a group of people who run on homemade bio diesel. it's relatively green as it is using a waste product in the main with only a small amount of petrol as a solvent. it's currently costing 30p a litre and is "legal" with limited mileage.
there are a few heavily boosted turbo diesels around here

I don't pay tax on fuel as I choose not to drive - I also choose not to have a bank account, store cards or tv. I live rurally as well but do perfectly well without the aforementioned.
