I don't smoke tobacco but its good to see there been sensible and capping at 50 a day!

I bet country's without a national health service will not adopt this policy.

G'day Kaiser.

How is anything about this "good" ?

Do you agree with implementing laws to control individual choices that cause no harm to anyone else ?

If so, why ?

No I dont think its good at all jumping on civil libertys perhaps I should of used a smiley to convey sarcasm apologise as not feeling to well at present. What started as the sneezes on monday has now developed into full on man flu, is it still tuesday or have we progressed? :hide:

also clearly a stepping stone to converting rights to privileges and I will never accept this!

www.the-tma.org.uk/tma-publications-rese...evenue-from-tobacco/

12 billion quid in the UK in tax alone.

news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/8086142.stm

Hmmm... so thats a few billion quid PROFIT. In fact, even if you look at 2009 the tax intake was DOUBLE the cost...I make that quite a profitable enterprise tbh...

I wonder how much computer system upgrades cost and useless jerkoff admin staff like project managers and financial managers and secretaries and all that bollocks?

I wonder if anyone has ever calculated the cost of using central banks to print money for them? Has anyone calculated how many people have died as a result of central banking? How many stressed out people have used the NHS services as a result of losing their job, ending up on the street, taking drugs/committing suicide or whatever.

The hypocrisy is so in your face yet stupid people keep falling for the divide and conquer crap....yes lets tax more, send the young uns off to war, get rid of the immigrants.

Jesus...keep reading the daily-hate-mail and swallow the kool aid morons :)

Even if they introduce permit to leave your zip code, pedestrian licence, larger bitter and stout licences people will just moan and get on with it.

I guess the final straw thing is just when enough people can't feed themselves, it'll literally go that far.

Any prohibition be it fags, booze or handbags will send the tax revenue to the floor as the black market explodes to fill the gap. Nobody wins when goods get restricted and rights get converted to privileges.. Its just more BS from these elite fukers who dont pay there taxes and think they own everybody and want to save the millions or gillions it costs national health services to fix those made ill from smoking tobacco so they can spend more on wars that give foreign people cancer thanks to DU.

G'day Ianw.

Welcome to the forum. :hi:

It's been almost 14 years now that I have been awaiting the straw that breaks the camels back ... unfortunately here in Australia, even those with less of an income still have it pretty good. There are definitely many copping the short end of the stick, though it doesn't appear that those not copping the short end really care one way or the other, so long as they have theirs. The old Australian stance against authority seems to have dwindled and many are happy with their kneeling position.

Anyway, I concur with Dubmeup ... nipple thread. :psketti:

The licence that Prof Chapman proposes would be a swipe card; smokers would be required to apply for a card and no retailer would be able to sell tobacco products to anyone without one.

Hmm, sounds a little like:

"And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."

First they came for the smokers.... Haha, but seriously, this world is really going down the tubes and fast! I mean, I totally get why certain governmental and health care entities want to curb the number of people smoking/amount that smokers smoke, but why not nip this shit in the bud and do something lasting and real like stop polluting tobacco with the hundreds of poisonous chemical ingredients and maybe, just maybe the number of illnesses/deaths from smoking will decrease??

*cough* fuckin up profit margins, smokes no longer as addictive or harmful, abort, ABORT!!! *cough*

Hey BBC and big tobacco.... :fap:

*is not a smoker*

Manitou Organic

The conscious choice of high quality tobacco and it's additive free processing are the most distinguishing features of Manitou products. Manitou Organic premium roll your own tobacco is a blend of organic AND additive free Virginia tobaccos coming from the best tobacco growing areas worldwide. The tobaccos processed in all Manitou products are 100% free of any chemical additives like preservatives, humectant, agents or synthetic flavours. No reconstituted sheet tobacco and no processed tobacco stems, only whole leaf tobaccos are used.

We are convinced that carefully selected and blended tobacco will result in more smoking pleasure than tobacco that is enriched with any flavours.

Please note, due to the fact there are no preservatives used in the Manitou process, the tobacco is fully dried to prevent the growth of mould.

I like the Virginia strain but would always allow the leaves to compost to the brownish colour.
They reckon a lot of the toxins leave the leaves this way.
I like my backy and my tea brown old habits die hard.

I can't get the link to open because my laptop is old and curmudgeonly, so I have to surmise its contents.

I swear by the power of Greyskull, no bastard will ever issue me with a license to smoke, and I will never stop smoking other than by personal choice (which is so remote a possibility as to be negligible).

And anyone who thinks they will enforce such a nonsense will rue the day they ever encountered my rusty pickaxe.

It's not that complicated - they use it because they enjoy it, and / or are addicted to it - pretty much like any other 'crap' drug, I'd have thought!

It only slightly works on me when ive had a few drinks, I don't feel any kind of enjoyment from it by itself.
