There's one thing i love. To use a cricket cliche, it's when people play with a straight bat. I'll happily discuss anything with anyone. No matter how huge the gulf may be in our thoughts and views. As long as they are playing with a straight bat. An example would be our old friend haduka jimmy. We disagreed on nearly everything but more often than not, he was pretty transparent (ish). That earnt him a small amount of respect beyond the basic from me.

Ra, from what i've seen you don't exhibit quite the same courage of your conviction. On subjects that may be contentious you've tended to come at it sideways and it seems, sort of rely on others not being able to second guess you. T'other day you made a large generalization and then told me you didnt want to explain it because you'd look judgmental.
