Why do cats not like clothes?

Being slightly bored and having just taken the washing out the tumble dryer , I decided my cat might look good in a pair of pants.

So I put one leg hole over her neck and the other leg hole over her tail (double wrapped)

She is running around the house bucking like a horse trying to get the pants off ....does she not realise she looks pretty

That's cruel dawny...just shave a pair of pants onto her instead

I've never seen an animal dressed in clothes that didn't look pissed off.

You're only supposed to give them a certain amount of Dreamies per day...what the hell is in them?!

First you drench her in olive oil, now you're making her wear pants How long did it take for the olive oil to clean off?

The olive oil made her look really shiny and has solved her dandruff...I oil her weekly , albeit I use less oil as I did have a bit of a disaster first time round.....she was fine though...I just rubbed her in towel and it all left.

I have no idea what they put in Dreamies but she loves them

I do not torment the cat she actually quite likes us now

My mum used to give her border terrier tuna in olive oil sometimes (to eat, as opposed to massaging with it) to solve its dry skin issues. Its breath was minging though.

One of the brother-in-law's mums knits sweaters for their dachsunds. One of them loves wearing them, and shows off, while the other one hates it and goes all rigid and sullen.

all rigid and sullen That's what my child used to do as a toddler. If I was leaving the house in a hurry and wanted to put him in the buggy and he wanted to walk instead , he would fling his arms over his head and go as stiff as a board making it impossibly to fold him into said buggy.

Animals and children are devious

Yeah, the nippers used to do that when being lifted up against their will, and they'd kick and writhe, so that it was hard not to drop the little perishers! Makes you want to drop them really.

The cat is 8 years old...she's been with me for a few months.

She has never sat on anyone's lap before but she started sitting on mine on Thursday. I put 'her' cushion on my knees and she lept on for a cuddle .

I emailed her previous owners (who moved abroad hence why I have her) about this development and they said I must have drugged her as she has never sat on anyone ever!

So obviously being drenched in olive oil and wearing pants only makes her love me more

You should set up a new age cat therapy clinic built around that approach dawn. Oil and pants.

I'm going to get my camera and try and work it and post a pic of her . So you can see she is a nice happy cat who is in no way traumatized by my interactions with her

We had a cat years ago, she never slept on anyone's lap, but when she got old she started sleeping on my lap. I've got mixed feelings about lap cats...it's nice when they fall asleep on you, but at the same time, you don't want to move incase you disturb them.

A girl came over years ago, kind of a booty call I'd never met her before, but she fell asleep in my lap. She told me she was tired and she came over for a kiss, then I told her she could have a nap, so she did, for about an hour. I was sitting there like a god damn statue for an hour! But it was nice, she looked all peaceful. Maybe she was a cat in a previous life
