...or is it a bit fucking cold today? I usually don't feel it at all, but even I today was thinking, "it's definitely a bit chilly today", so I looked up the temperature on the Met Office and it said the following:

I accidentally left some meat out after I made a sandwich last night, and when I woke up it hadn't even changed in appearance. I'm thinking of turning my fridge off to save electricity.

I believe me, mart, and wub are in the same rough vicinty, give or take 40 odd miles or so...and yes, it's cold as fuck not quite pipe freezingly cold though...at least not yet

Yes, it's been very cold, but sunny for a few days now here (north west). I had to scrape ice off my windscreen before driving home from work. I heard a forecast earlier saying the cold snap's due to end this weekend.

It was -3 here when I picked my daughter up from the school bus. It's -4.5 now.

The fireplace has been roaring here most evenings for the last week but it's not dipped lower than 4C at night so far....which is a pain as the eldest is demanding snow, since it's xmas, and I'm responsible (apparently) for ensuring it happens!

Well, I have to say that apart from the roads being a bit slippery in spots, and the cost of heating, I quite like it when it's frosty & bright - and dry. The fields look like they've been scattered with sparkly icing sugar.

Since the snow's your responsibility Oi, can you make it happen here next week please, so that we can do some sledging?

My dad was enthralling my boy with 'magic' once when he was little - making £1 coins appear out of his ears, till he demanded that if it was real magic, he should be able to find a lump of marmalade in his ear next.

(There could easily have actually been marmalade in there, with the way he eats his breakfast.)

So when you've mastered snow, you'll need to practice making rainbows appear and such like.
