When an alcoholic doctor began experimenting with Baclofen, he made what could be the medical breakthrough of the century

And now he is hooked on pills? Just kidding but I do wonder if it really could cure alcoholism as in my experience that addiction, as with many or all perhaps, is usually rooted in some deeper psychological issues. So I won't hold my breath but it would be great if it worked.

Its a muscle relaxant used to treat spasticity.

Well I was joking but it seems some people can become addicted to muscle relaxers.

People can get addicted to anything. I knew someone who was addicted to Beecham's Powders.

I think a better alternative would be ibogaine,ayahuasca,or some other entheogen. Other cultures have used them for years to treat tobacco,alcohol,and opiate addictions naturally.

Seriously, these kinds of drugs are very suspect.

It's messing with your brain. There have already been problems with smoking cessation drugs. These all affect dopamine, that's one of your body's feel good chemicals. You shouldn't mess about with drugs that affect the way you experience joy and pleasure. It's a recipe for some horrible mental side effects.

doc has the right idea. psychedlic therapy. you can drink a 30 pack in a few hours and feel great if you drop a couple of acid.
