Like when your going here or there or on public transportation, just curious about the security issues you may face in your location, as to carrying a small or medium backpack, it is a common thing around here and nobody has ever yet made a deal of it. or even thinks twice.

Personally and I may be wrong about this, but I think it more of a issue in the UK and Europe the personal backpacks.

I've seen people wearing their backpacks back to front when you go to London. Then you would see someone trying anything dodgy.

What makes a backpack special compared to a holdall?

I used to always use a backpack, handy for bike riders.

I must admit that for a bit following 9/11 I used to feel uneasy if a muslim got on the bus with a backpack That was the idea I suppose. They probably gave immigrants backpacks at the airport... "wear this for 2 months"

i got an alice pack. its probably the toughest thing i own, its been through everything and holds a shit ton.

when i have more shit to carry than what i can stuff in my pockets, yes... typically, if its just me (alone, no kid, etc...) i'll just shove my cash and DL in my pocket and call it a day unless i have to carry folders with me or my laptop, then everything goes in the backpack.

They've even gone to the trouble of removing rubbish bins from train stations in recent years (well they have from Preston anyway) to inconvenience people who would have liked to place bombs in them.

Not on the train station, anyway - it's the bus station where all the scum gather. Plenty of bins there, I happened to notice vaguely , and in an innocent way.
