Do you think a blog is better than creating my own website.

I have basic html skills and can upload my own website but then i have to add tags etc and submit it to google for their search engine to find it,bit of a pain.

So have you any advice for me regards blogging etc,ive tried twitter but its pathetic in the fact you can only put a small amount of words in your message.

Basically i want to create something that gets the truth across about how companies and the mega rich are subsidised by the tax payers.

This forum has a core group of intelligent decent people but not much traffic.

Obviously i would add links to this forum if it was ok to do so.

vlogs (video blogging) have actually taken off in the last couple years, blogs still get a lot of attention, and it takes forever for a website to take off anymore unless you can pay for advertising (and even then its touch and go).

and if i'm gonna be honest, speaking the truth, or exposing things, to the everyday person who is not into that stuff already is kind of like repeatedly slamming your head into a brick wall they wont listen and even when they do pretend to listen they think your out of your mind.

i agree, facts without opinion leaves it open for people...but the problem still arises, unless they are looking for it or already into it, they ain't gonna just stumble on it.

I think mike has a point that the potential audience is much much larger than sites of this 'genre' .

using twitter with the correct hashtags allows you target certain topics/pages of your choice also.

I would say open up a YouTube account and start making vlogs . In this day and age of ever-shrinking attention spans [they must've been in the pool with George, eh? lol] and over-stimulation/information overload, people need shit spoonfed to them in the easiest, most digestible and time-compacted way possible!! So, get you a decent webcam or whatever kind of video camera you can afford at this time, hook that bitch up to your personal-all-seeing-eye [computer] and get after it!! Make yourself a legend, or at the very least an overnight sensation. Maybe even an internet meme? Yeah, I deleted it because it wouldn't allow any editing to be done. I'd re-copy and paste it into the response box and it still came out all jacked up. I'll try it again....
