Prostitution.

Would you/have you ever considered it? If you stopped yourself, why? If you did it, how'd that go for ya?

I have considered it but frankly the only thing that has really stopped me is that I struggle to give it away, let alone charge for it. I honestly don't think I'd have a problem doing it as a means to an end though.

I don't really see it as a great leap from how the majority live their lives at present, actually, and I certainly don't get all the moral outrage surrounding it. Most of us are shafted from day one anyway, so we may as well be getting fair retribution for it.

Yes if I was a female and was destitute or abused in my situation, never as man whore but that's just my opinion at the moment which could change

Hmmm...I'd be worried about them asking for a refund. :D

I've no objection on moral grounds, where it's what someone wants to do of course, rather than being coerced. But you'd want to know that the whomever you're 'entertaining' is disease-free, clean & fragrant, at least.

Nah, it's not for me, now that I've thought about it. I'd want something so intimate to be a special, magical, romantic thing. Nothing against others who are up for it though.

I asked a female friend of mine about this once, as she really enjoys sex.

She more or less said that enjoyment was the reason she didn't charge for it, but that was about it. She'd have no problem in delivering a service (and gawd knows she's experienced enough) and accepting payment for it. She mentioned people's opinions of her might grate though and that although she was well aware people currently thought she was a bit of a slapper, that was somehow more acceptable than what people might have thought of her if she actually did it for a living. Plus the legalities of it all.

I came very close in my youth actually...though I never really realised it at the time.

I suppose, that's where the danger lies. There will always be people waiting to take advantage, particularly in an 'industry' that is ignored or brushed under the carpet and not regulated.

It's one thing if you know what you're getting into, but most don't, I suspect.

It seems like easy money, until you really start to think about the kinds of people you might have to 'entertain'. I did a stint of work on a smutty chat line. Most people were pretty run of the mill, some people were kinky and then you got a few people who were very disturbed. I imagine prostitutes would have a similar demographic.

On one hand you could make a living from things you enjoy, on the other you could put yourself in danger. The fact that some people feel as though they are forced into prostitution/are forced into it is another matter - that's exploitation.

Mind you, when I was younger, thinner and prettier, I realised that my snatch had magic powers - it could make men buy me stuff.

It represents everything wrong with capitalism to me, you're not even being exploited for skills any more, it's just blatant physical exploitation. "I own you for x amount of time".

Oh and the notion of having to pay for sex is as degrading to me as I'd imagine it'd be for the prostitute.

I'd rather blow the cash on a night out and see where it takes me.

You're not so rough looking now, chick. All snatches are magical too, by the way. Apparently... :coffee:
