I've grown to respect the army somewhat, it's my opinion that without young cadets willing to go out and die in the Middle East to defend Anglo-American interests, our lives would be a whole lot more unpredictable, we shouldn't forget the relative security and prosperity we enjoy is secured by young men and women in the army.

Could you expand a little on what Anglo-American interests also could you explain who you mean by we and what prosperity you are talking about specifically?

Well the UK and America have always had a large stake in the Middle East region, i think you'll agree, a lot of vital resources and commodities are traded at favourable prices for the West, (by AngloAmerican industrialist's financially and technologically supporting Authoritarian, Oligarchic regimes, (Saudia Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan etc) which keep wages low, worker's rights minimal, and class oppression firmly enforced with brutal military repression, for around 100 years Western industrial development has been dependent on the Military oppression of Middle Eastern people by Regimes favourable to Anglo American interests.

Julian Amery:
"The prosperity of our[anglo-american] people rests really on the oil in the Persian Gulf, the rubber and tin of Malaya, and the gold, copper and precious metals of South- and Central Africa. As long as we have access to these; as long as we can realize the investments we have there; as long as we trade with this part of the world, we shall be prosperous. If the communists were to take them over, we would lose the lot. Governments like Colonel Nasser's in Egypt are just as dangerous."

We in the UK and America have it alot better than the people of Malaya, South and Central Africa, the people of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, etc etc, I think you'll agree, that is the prosperity I'm talking about, the prosperity from 100 or so years of unfettered industrial development, at the expense of Eurasian Oil, African Resources, Asian tin, rubber, cotton etc etc and the people who work in the countries that produce them.

As Merc rightly points out, most empires using technology, military, do their studies, send out their prospectors like Livingstone, and then steal their way to power, as do their subjects upon others using their other powers of monetary, illusionary over those who have forgot how to spend their own labour, the true currency.

Every Empire is like a duracel battery, eventuall the Dura-Cell will dwindle, cease to perform, when it does one needs to recognise the signs and find the alternatives that will lubricate their transition through the change over periods.

There are many cases of study throughout history, that we can all find the answers to the signs now coming into view.

Postion yourselves fairly shortly, the storms of man and nature may be about to join as one.
