Remember kids, as the nice man says, don't try this at home.

Going out on the streets with it would appear to have his approval though :P

I'll admit that after 2 mins I did shout ' get on with it, poindexter!' but it was a pretty neat experiment.

For his next vid I'd suggest more charisma, more cool action and less blather. :)

Exactly!

And toward the end of the lesson when my experiment had failed badly it was,

Teach: What are the steps, Rune?
Rune: Materials, method, results and conclusions, sir
Teach: Method, Rune, method! You weren't paying attention, boy!

Fuckin' school.

I spent many years attempting to compensate for that teaching flaw by conducting my own field experiments.
If I were an Afghani I suppose authorities would now call them IED's. :dunno:

Fuckin' school.

It was 'apparatus' when I went to school, not 'materials', and we had to insert 'diagram' between apparatus & method, coz we were cleverer than later kids. :D

I once spent an entire science lesson twisting a thick strip of perspex backwards & forwards, so that it eventually snapped in the middle. It wasn't the experiment, I just did it because the teacher kept referring to it as unbreakable. He was mistaken.

Oh yes, and the boys always made a point of farting in the science labs, so that teachers would think it was a gas leak & send us outside.

Terrorism would be nothing without science. I'm surprised it's still taught.

Not personally, though I saw many harrowing things transpire in those labs.

and who would have thought that all these years later they would gravitate towards a messageboard on the internet and still spend hours bending shit all directions trying to break it.

There's no greater feeling than that of being a 'knowitall' teenager who is constantly shown that perhaps they don't know it all than confounding a teacher with the most simple/obvious of questions.
