:hmm:

Not to be confused with 'ponce' which surprisingly, means something quite different.

Do you know, someone actually approached me in a fast-food restaurant the other day (I was doing research) and asked me for four pounds? When I replied that I had no change, he proceeded to tell me that a pound would do. I'd probably have felt very different if he'd asked me on the street, but the fact that he had wandered into a busy, crowded place where people were sitting and eating really pissed me off for some reason. It's like those chaps that do it on crowded trains.

Anyway...I digress.

I went to Gloucester recently and a homeless man asked me for some change. I told him he could have what I had on me. I handed it over to him. It was about £1.50 and he looked at me as if to say "wtf" and wandered off without saying anything. I didn't expect gratitude, but it was like he got the arse because I didn't give him more. I would have been happy to have kept it.

To be fair, what can you get with £1.50 these days? I'd probably have been a bit pissed too. :D

Exactly!
I mean what does a Venti Mango & Passion Fruit Frappacino from Starbucks cost these days.
She'd have been as well completing the destruction of his dignity by throwing her change in his already downtrodden face.

Some people just never stop to think eh? :yerright:
