I'll go one step further though and say that when Dubs questioned oi's actions on the cathar issue, DG was right in there, ready to push aside his previously declared frustrations with Dubs to exploit a perceived opportunity to launch another attack on oi.
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend". sprung to mind for me and I was hugely disappointed.
I'm also not going to passively sit here and be used to drive further division in this group.
For sure I have no belief that the community management model being presented, (or more accurately, unfolding as it was being made up), had any prospect of actually working and was honest and unreservedly vocal in my dissent.
Still am.
oi has impressed me though. when the community asked him to 'facilitate' although that was a potential personal conflict for him, he took it on and has given it a fair go.
See, I never thought any of the 'anarchists' would do that, Thus maintaining an untouchable position from which to point fingers and
pontificate at those who would take on active roles.
I respect that immensely, It says someone is willing to compromise, take risks and move their stance if it will benefit the whole.
The ridiculous irony is that, as a mod, he is being sniped at and attacked by a former admin who so objected to the mod team being attacked they set up another site to escape that, yet return here to practice it.
