i eat everything i killed and it feeds me through winter and sometimes keep the skins. its not really going in to the woods blowing down trees and killing everything and then laughing about it.. theres something about going there and being in nature, live out on the forest floor for a bit, follow a trail and find a good shot.. just maybe 1 chance for it or that deer is gone and you wont see it again. its really quiet and reflective time. nature is ok with you taking a deer if you dont be a dick about it, you respect the prey and the forest. and part of the balance of it all is with too many deer they eat too much food, or rather there is not enough, and so many deer starve slow and hard when overpopulated. its a mercy to thin the herd.
What you're doing is miles away from the lot around me. It's like a Saturday afternoon fucking picknick outing except they have their guns instead of sandwiches and are dressed in toff type breeches with matching hats and barbour jackets. They also shoot pheasants that have been reared especially and are too fat to move fast, making their 'kill' even easier. There's usually about 20 of them, sometimes more.
There's a field they use about 20yards from my door and when they do, I've been known to open all the car doors and windows, throw on some really thumping dance music up full whack and leave it blaring. It interferes with their little day out everytime. I do this down to the fact that they totally abuse the 'no tresspassing' laws in Scotland and basically stand shooting right outside my house sometimes. I really don't like them and they really don't like me.
