How is that approach different from the Pharmacratic inquisition that use diagnosis of mental illnesses from the DSM to silence critical voices and normalize outsiders that accentuate cognitive dissonance within the herd?

It can be. But there are a lot of things that influence decisions and it's not always that cut & dried.

For example, where would we be now if we hadn't resisted invasion in the world wars? People can believe they're fighting for something honourable - and they can be tricked into thinking that - the protection of their families and so on. I don't believe in violence, but I would kill, I think, if I had to to protect my family.

The manufactured war against terror, creating distrust and hatred where it's not due.

Some of them think they fight because it's the will of their God. I believe that's down to brain-washing, by people who have other motives, but the fact is, many people believe in what their doing being 'right'. The ones doing the brainwashing are pretty much programming Manchurian candidates, and they know what they're doing is wrong, otherwise they wouldn't need to be surreptitious.

And though I don't remember that experiment with the electric shocks in much detail now, it did show how there are all kinds of influences that effect people on a subconscious level can make them behave in ways that would normally seem alien to them.

I might be wrong, but I think that's why there are so many suicides and people suffering from depression in the armed forces. I think people come to recognise the reality as being something very different to what they had previously believed so strongly in, and can't handle the guilt and horror.

You can't blame the unaware consumers and you can't make them aware on a forum with under 20 main posters.

The only thing you can do is go to the sweat shop which you are angry about and fight the manager on site that is there.

The same could be said about blood diamonds in Africa.

You can also read Altermeyers work on the right wing authoritarians which supplements this basic knowledge.

Put the two together and you have a pretty plain picture of the way things are. No conspiracy theory needed or reptilians or any of that crap.

There are just far more authoritarians/followers and psychos than people are willing to come to terms with.
It explains why humanity has been slow to progress, why wars work, why religion works, why politics works, why voters are mostly idiots etc etc etc.

There is no need to go looking for some kind of weird and wonderful esoteric explanations. Just accept that those of us who are rebels to authority who are empaths and who are genuinely decent people are in the minority.
Hopefully this will change given enough time and education but it will not happen overnight, personally I've come to terms with it.
I didn't accept it at first any more than you do but it does indeed pretty much explain everything.
