If you could have one wish granted, what would you wish for?

But, hey, there need to be some rules here. So...

(a) you're not allowed to wish for world peace, as it's self-evident that everyone decent would want this;
(b) you're not allowed to wish for some sort of grotesque wealth, such as a lottery win;
(c) you're not allowed to wish for anything sexual, you must procure intercourse via your own looks and / or charm, or failing that paying for it.

You can, though, wish for things that are actually impossible.
The true measure of a man is not his intelligence or how high he rises in this freak establishment. The true measure of a man is this: how quickly he can respond to the needs of others and how much of himself he can give - Philip K. Dick.

Well, the clue's in the title, but you can break the rules as you will do anyway! Besides which, it'd be more enjoyable if people can pick loads.

If you can demonstrate that you can type an infinite amount of wishes then you can have them. And you're not allowed any monkeys or typewriters.

That the monetary system is abandoned.
Just in itself that would pretty much cover almost everything else, the world might start making sense again.

Newcastle to win the Premiership..

That'll do :thumbup:
But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma,
a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

hmmm. You'll have to add it into the clause section as a statute.

For now I'll just wish for happiness.
That's quite broad.... and there's a lot of things that make me unhappy so all that'll have to change.

There are big things that I could wish for because obviously the world is a pretty screwed up place, and I’m tired of seeing all of the suffering and poverty and so forth. Andy’s already dealt with that.

There are things that I’d like for my own life, but I think I’m capable of achieving those if I really want to. I’ve never wanted any extravagant wealth or possessions.

I was thinking about this the other day, and the one thing that I’d really like that I can’t ever have is to go back in time to the point where I’d never seen the first ten seasons of the Simpsons and watch them again. There’s no way I can ever do that, and I know that no-one will ever produce anything ever again that I enjoy as much, including new episodes of the programme, and watching them over and over again (which I have) obviously isn’t the same as watching them for the first time, especially as I’ve virtually memorised the scripts. I suppose you could also wipe my memory of them and let me watch them again in the present day, as well.

I suppose I could time travel back to witness some historical events, but I’m not that interested. I've seen Back to the Future, it can all get a bit complicated.

So we're not allowed extravagant wealth, but on the back to the future theme, I want a book with all of the football scores for the next fifty years :thumbup:

Is that wise for a Newcastle fan? At least you could be miserable in comfort, though.
