What's the collective noun for sock trolls?

A tedium.

I think SB may have nailed it. :)

Now to research their life styles and mating habits. If we can break the reproductive chain it could see them becoming extinct within a generation.

That's harsh, Huge. Maybe we should concentrate our efforts into something less destructive (and quite frankly, racist), like moving them to an isolated reservation somewhere, where they can happily troll and reproduce til their hearts content?

Hang on...that just sounds a bit racist anorl actually.

Fair play then Shake and thanks Bats. I'll drop it.

See I once read this article about how some people chat shit on the interwebs, (no really!) and I thought this was one of those instances.

As it happens, Hugo, I've been studying their mating habits, having been mystified as to how they actually manage reproduction when their wives / girlfriends are usually of the imaginary variety.

Turns out, it's this thing called parthenogenesis. Parthenogenesis occurs naturally in many plants, some invertebrate animal species (including nematodes, water fleas, some scorpions, aphids, some bees, forum trolls, some Phasmida and parasitic wasps) and a few vertebrates (such as some fish, amphibians, reptiles and very rarely birds). This type of reproduction has been induced artificially in a few species including fish and amphibians.

Live & learn, eh! :cat:

That's some good research, Gilly.

If we can't stem the flow then maybe, as Abs proposed, we need to dump them in some sort of nature reserve where they can be studied and hunted.
The Isle of Wight is an option worth considering. Variable climate and it's within shelling distance from the mainland.

Cousin Frothy is banned in the DIF, so why should we accept his trolling in SZ?

Good that he's been banned.

Being banned from the DIF is not reason to ban anybody here. If that were the case, you would be looking at a rather empty forum.

No, Frothy was banned for acting like a twat.

I have it on good authority that a 'twat' is actually something quite useful, depending on what you're up to. :coffee:
