I've been umming and ahhing whether to do this thread or not for a while but I think the time has now come.

What's up at Fear and Clothing?
I'm one of many folk that have been waiting for an order for months now. I spoke to F&C via PM here about a week ago and was told there would be a banner placed on the website that night, explaining that there is a big backlog of several months. It still isn't there now and FC instead has a January sale announcement. F&C hasn't been active here since that night either. This has tipped me into starting this thread

F&C told me his reasons why the backlog is there but I can't understand why customers aren't being told that they most likely won't get their order for months, if ever. F&C even told me some folk have threatened to go to the police.

I totally love the idea of your business F&C but this isn't a good situation is it. People are paying you for things they don't receive. I know you said you'd give me a refund but that isn't going to keep your business going is it. Especially with the volume of people in the same position you obviously have.

We sent several unanswered emails to yo mate and you say many more have too. You don't answer unless they take it to facebook or summat it seems (or happen to meet you in a forum). The communication side of your service is way off at the minute I'm afraid. To be fair, my concern doesn't end with communication either

Oh oh....that's not good is it....especially in light of the latest Icke fiasco......
Actually, thanks for the heads up, because I looked up their site and fancied ordering a couple of cracking looking t-shirts....wont be doing that now

Tbh Jane, yes. I think it likely that a lot more folk will be heading to FC in the light of recent events. That is also of concern to me. If you are already snowed under F&C, a January sale and extra custom isn't going to help is it.

I saw that he'd left a message on DIF that he was having some personal problems.

Indeed blue, that's the same thing F&C said to me. It doesn't explain the way things are being dealt with though.

This would have been a great opportunity for Nick , even with the fiasco of TPV... due to this fiasco I checked his website out and was going to make an order too.

But noticed on his facebook that someone had complained about an order not being received... so decided to hold back.

Pity because his designs are awesome.

As yet, about three weeks since we were offered a refund, having waited now 3 months for our order, no refund has been issued.
I am fighting the urge to speak my mind here...

The reason I've held back this far from airing my suspicions is that I'd hoped things were genuine and that F&C would sort it out one way or another. After all, a lot of people have had their money taken and received nothing.
In PM here, F&C, unprompted, was at pains to point out that he's, "not a crook". My default position is that when someone protests innocence, unprovoked, there's probably summat amiss.
I was amazed that at a time when there is a backlog going back months and apparent ongoing personal problems, F&C found the time to announce a 20% off January sale on his website.....At the same time as he was unable to respond to any of the emails asking where folks' shirts were, because he was snowed under due to personal problems. His explanation, not mine. Apparently a laptop also died which caused customer details to be lost. So.....why the January sale if things had really got that bad? Masochism?

There is now summat on the F&C site apologising for the problems. It's a good while now (prob 3 weeks) since I was told by F&C in PM that he would place a banner on the home page that night, explaining things to potential customers and apologising for the problems. I feel the only reason that apology is actually there now is as a result of messages on his FB page and my convo with him here in PM. It appeared only when his hand was 'forced', in fact, a few weeks later. All the while, customers clicking in the January sale.....

I don't think I really need to say any more. Imo, it's suss as fuck.

Thanks for letting us know as I had bookmarked his page for birthday presents in the future.

I try to avoid ordering off any website which does not have a landline phone number for contact and, preferably, a postal address as well. But that's just me!

Nick needs to hand the reigns over to someone else to handle his website/sales/refunds if he's not up to it.

He's missed a wonderful opportunity here to get sales, due to being allegedly ripped off by TPV.

As I said before, his designs are awesome and I was definitely going to buy a tshirt.

I bet more people would have too.

Nick if you are reading this - get someone else to handle your business while you sort yourself out! Once the money comes in.. pay your helper..
