I'm suggesting that Mikey would be a better news reporter, from seeing some of his threads on the 'todays news'.

So why not ask him?

I do remember telling you some time ago oi that I'm no good at it.

Your response was something like 'you're better than we've got' well tbh I see Mikey as the best we got, in relation to news stories.(it's not about me)

As for the 'vote' I did mention that I would have preferred 'my vote' to be in the hands of the facilitators not the general population, so take a hike.

As for an apology, I don't see why I need to apologise for the truth?
This is where my bottom line would be if it existed.

BTW, Marina should not have to take that kind of abuse.

Saying someones news stories are as lame as fuck is not being abusive to them, it's about their presentations.
Abuse
Definition

Abuse is defined as any action that intentionally harms or injures another person. Abuse also encompasses inappropriate use of any substance, especially those that alter consciousness (e.g., alcohol, cocaine, methamphetamines).

That's more like abuse as you are actually targeting me in general as a character, I didn't do that to marina. (how mean).

Can I suggest that we all automatically disregard BT's opinion on everything because he's a fucking idiot? I've put a question mark there, but that was actually a rhetorical question.

Once again, I'd like to emphasise that I voted against letting him back on the site, just so that's 100% clear.

I don't care who you vote for, what you do, what you type, or anything about you, we're all fucking idiots, that's why we waste our time lurking about in internet forums, there's no point pretending otherwise, Lol we have a forum with threads that discuss another forum. :killinme:

I'm not pretending that I'm any different, but in the end it's a bit rich to term me as a fucking idiot, whilst being a fucking idiot, I know you can see exactly what I mean, though I rather think you'd rather not.

I can't help to see you as an intelligent person who has somehow got himself stuck in a rut.

Don't forget to disregard this post as I'm a fucking idiot

No - you think it's idiotic for people to communicate with each other on the internet, which others evidently don't. And yet you do it anyway. You're worse than an idiot. And stop twisting - your comments to Marina were insulting, so why bother pretending they weren't?

Can I suggest the welcome message be replaced at the front, and the 'news' is given a small home in the bottom corner somewhere. Until decent reports are forthcoming.

Perhaps we ought to have TPV as news, it still appears to be dominating the attention of the population. :sheeps: :sheeps: :sheeps: :sheeps: :sheeps: :sheeps: :sheeps:
Right, if you want real non-lame news just go to dailymail. You too have editorial permission, feel free do add your decent non-lame news, or you're only good at messing up others?
Good to see your true colors though, I regret deeply sticking up to you now, can I have my vote back? Sure many would too, as you are not who you made us all believe you are.

*embarrassed*...I would like to just clear something up....my 'thank you' to BT for his mis-spelt rainbow "gud idea Jane" was sarcasm on my part, as was his in posting it. It was just the mood I was in last night as I was disgusted with his previous post. I realise it was bad form on my part to use a thank you for sarcasm, so is it possible for one of you kind mods to remove it please as I do not want to be construed as supporting BT in any way.

I hate thank you buttons on forums. I find you can use them to express too many things and people can misinterpret what level of thanks or agreement was meant.
Quite often I will thank a poster for what they have written because it was an interesting idea but not that I necessarily agree with it. Its a devil - once you use it once....its very difficult not to use it again. :O

Post count is my niggle as it measures nowt!

10,000 :psketti: is not equal to a 10,000 word article on the intrinsic relationship between corporations and governments and the impact it has on society.

The thank you's are just an indication of positive feedback be that in agreement or acknowledgement of a contribution.

I think the unexpected break from this place was needed by me. Not loking for tiny violins or owt but one way or another this place has drained me from TPVgate to DG to facilitating a right bunch of cunts..... and offline stuff requiring more of my time.... I think I got my vigour back...possibly helped by the fact I'm gonna be doing another vanishing act for easter to the village.... definitely helped by the fact that within a fortnight a lot more of us will be able to put faces to avatars!

So, overall I've missed enjoying this place, think I just refound that pleasure :)

Sorry, it's kind of a given here that during holiday periods everyone returns to their 'village'. You don't have to go back many decades to find when Athens was sparsely populated. For one reason or another we go to a village that the wifes' grandad/pappous chose to build the family summer house in despite it having no direct connection to any relative (although it's a stone's throw away from his village in today's terms).
He made it 3 storey, one storey for each daughter and their families, one of those daughters is the wife's mam.

Ah! Makes sense now Oi.
It's a similar thing with the Irish side of my family. Easter, especially, is a time when people return to the fold. When I lived in Berlin it was very similar too with families heading out to an (family) alllotment with an on site cabin and an endless BBQ going over the holiday.
We've lost it in England/UK - nowadays it is all about the bank holidays sales and shit. Sad!

I'm not sure we ever had this in England to start with. At least I don't remember it in my family or anybody else's. Maybe only wealthy people who had country estates where people could sleep over?

In our family it seems to be all about Easter Eggs for the kids and hot cross buns. When I was a kid we usually got new clothes for Easter but kids today get new clothes every week just because, so it's not a special time. Plus everything it advertised for so long before the event it becomes ho hum and boring when Easter Eggs have been out in the shops since January. :O

Whitsun tide was when we got our "new clothes" and our clogs got restudded if we were lucky:)

On the English side it was all easter eggs but on the Irish side it was plenty of mass and envelopes through the post full of weird religious relics and icons - Saint medals and bits of "Popes Tongue" in a packet.

I always wondered if it was really a bit of the Pope's tongue - and the bits of wood from the Holy Cross. All sounds a bit Black Adder to me.
