No statistics though for how many people who don't invoke the WOIRA just laugh and shut the door in their faces after they have announced who they are. :chuckle:

As long as they don't change what powers these so called "enforcement" officers can do re entering your house then this won't make much difference to those in the know, the bigger concern is what they will do after the election whoever wins. Not happy bunnies that so many are not paying quite legally I'm guessing they'll look at what Ireland is trying to do and introduce some kind of broadcasting tax:

I agree. I've been thinking for ages that they ae going to introduce some kind of blanket broadcasting tax thats impossible to evade whether you have a TV or not. They can't contemplate making the BBC pay for itself via advertising because its the governments mouthpiece. Wouldnt be surprised if they dont add on a component onto your council tax, to pay for this.

France do that - the easiest way regarding the internet stuff is make it subscription, unless you pay or provide a valid licence number you can't see it , It's a bit of a no brainer but then again people in high places and common sense don't go hand in hand. I will be mightily miffed if I have to pay for something that I'm really bothered about - it's there for free at the mo so I'll take selective advantage - but if it went I could cope without Cagney and Lacey reruns and Heir Hunters sending me to sleep. :)

Yeah I know about France. I have a friend who lived in France for a time who told me about it. The thing is, in France you can opt out of the TV tax component if you don't have a TV. Thats what he did. I don't think that's what will happen here though. Plus, you can bet your bottom dollar that they won't reduce the amount of the licence even though every household will be paying. So they will be raking in in more money than ever.

One observation from this video and others by Psychodrilla: I'm glad he is stoned in most of the vids - I'd hate to seem him not stoned....he has a lot of anger it seems.
