DARPA is at it again. This time, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has announced plans to create nanochips for monitoring troops health on the battlefield. Kate Knibbs at Mobiledia reports the sensors are targeted at preventing illness and disease, the two causes of most troops medical evacuations.

What seems like a simple way of cutting costs and increasing efficiency has some people concerned that this is the first step in a "computer chips for all" scenario.

Bob Unruh at WND reports one of those opponents, Katherine Albrecht, co-author of Spychips says “It’s never going to happen that the government at gunpoint says, ‘You’re going to have a tracking chip. It’s always in incremental steps. If you can put a microchip in someone that doesn’t track them … everybody looks and says, ‘Come on, it’ll be interesting seeing where we go.'”

She said it was expected that captive audiences, such as prisoners and troops, would be the first subjected to the requirement, which would make it easier for the general populace to accept it as well. “It’s interesting,” she said. “I’m stunned how this younger generation is OK. They don’t see the problem. … ‘Why wouldn’t everyone want to be tracked?’”

But she said Americans will have to decide to say no to incremental advances, or by the time officials finally roll out the idea of chips for all, whether they want them or not, it will be too late to decide. “The analogy that I draw is [that of a train], and if I’m in California and I do not want to wind up in New City, every stop brings me closer,” she said. “At some point I have to get off the train.”

DARPA is calling the effort "a truly disruptive innovation," that could help the U.S. fight healthier and more efficiently than its adversaries.

They have been taking soldier blood samples for ages per my father, the ex-army medic.

Also, during the Hondo war, the citizens were given US meds in bottles with local doctor's names on them - per my ex-army medic father who was there and helped distribute them.

He said the locals would not trust a foreign entity distributing medications. Is that bad? I don't know. If the meds helped stop easily preventable diseases, then no.

All my father knew was that he was helping to distribute medications to aid people whose infrastructure, which was sub par, was further damaged, creating great health threats.

That is all I know. Be it true or not, I do not know....and neither does my father.

They have got the present gen used to it via mobiles and tracking of those with various 'benefits' for having the tracking.

I've no doubt Americans will be the most easily swayed by chips.

You already are familiar with tracking bracelets and necklaces for such people, along with 'silver alerts' when they turn up missing?

There were 'fingerprint events' in the 90's convincing parents to take their kids to the mall to be finger printed in case the kids go missing.

This is going to sound really bad but, most kids that go missing are........'done away with' soon after vanishing. The only purpose fingerprinting would serve is to identify the remains IF discovered soon afterward, and in a hot, humid, swampy environment, such is not usually the case; Dental records, DNA and other data is typically used for identification (hard tissue and DNA recognition). So.....why the need for (soft tissue identification) fingerprints?

I feel like crap saying this thing. I am truly regretful if I upset anyone, but.......it's in the news regularly in FLA and big cities across the country and this is what I base my opinion upon.

Well back in the early 80s myself along with all the other members of the unit were given injections. Fuck knows what they were, all I remember is they were in the back possibly 4 but deffo 2. After that it was off to lie on your bed , on the stomach for the rest of the day. I also remember not really being able to move and some shitty soup and bread was all we could eat.
Still have not got a clue what that was !!!



As for chipping troops........Im sure certain personel may well have been offered a temporary type chip, ie Pilots, SRR type units.Costs about 2 million to train a pilot, you want to locate that asset if he is shot down or captured. Same for the SRR and other deep recon units who are at risk of capture etc.

So if I was in a certain unit that had a high risk element of capture and new it was only temporary well I would not have a problem with it.

As for your grannies and kids tbh they are only important to you not the Government, so they dont give a fuck as they have not invested huge amounts of time and money in them.If people want granny or the kids chipped, its just the same as having a medical port put in your skin, easily done.
