... The teachings of Kit Carruthers will lead you to a state of enlightenment. A state of pure bliss. They will break you down and make you understand that you are an uneducated, uncultured retard who should be sterilized. And then build you back up and make you understand how everything can be so beautiful. ...

G'day Kit Caruthers.

That's a negative perspective that you have there.

The colours are amazing. Digital cameras have come on a bit I suppose, I had one a while back but gave up bothering when phones started to get reasonable res cameras, it was a fuji finepix s5000 I think... the colour always seemed to be too rich, but those pic look spot on.
Did you have to edit them first?

Ever heard of Lensbaby? They are so much fun to use! I have an older version but they've come out with some newer, different ones.

Is it me, or are robins getting cheekier. Had one come sit right on my spade while I was digging a hole not long ago as if to say "can you stop for a minute while I nab that worm"?

I saw this really great documentary the other day where they conducted a study on the recent daily activities of robins in Nova Scotia and they seemed convinced that their scientific data confirmed and revealed that robins of that region have indeed upped their thug-life ante. I'm not sure if that carries over to the robins of the UK though. :can:

I also love to play around with macro photography. I don't have a macro lens but I learned a little trick where you flip your lens around and hold it up to the camera. Focusing is tricky and you have to be careful not to get dust/debris inside the camera.

Love the spider in the flower shot KB, if you take a pair of carboard tubes that slide inside each other, paint them matt black then turn your lens around and slide it insode one end you can get some superb photo's.
My macro world really took off when I bought a second hand Nikon Coolpix 950, many of these pictures here were taken with one, they are very good because you can swivel the main body and leave the screen upright for taking shots from above.

I still have her today, way better results than an SLR, my best shots were taken using an old Practika and a dedicated Zeiss close up lens, sadly I let it go for the tech, wished the hell I hadn't.

Here is one of a Blackthorn flower above and a Grass of Parnassus below, using the coolpix 950.

I would like that Gilly, paintings are much better than pictures I think, one can see the hand to eye in the flow, that technology could never match in my book.
