That said, i did go to see it and quite enjoyed it. The lead girl has nice lips (i may have walked out early but the lips helped keep me in my seat) plus lots of outdoor/woodland scenery which i also liked. Plus it was orange 2 for 1 Wednesday, okay ill stop tryng to justify.
There was very little substance as you rightly say, but there were a couple little gems like when the organisers were discussing the games and said "the one thing more powerful than fear (as a means of control) is hope" (but they dont want to give people too much hope lest they get ideas)
As a film, it is shit, but it is still planting the wrong type of seeds in the target audience.
Prometheus should be better if you want something to look forward to.

I'd obviously seen it hyped all over the shop and when I read that Donald Sutherland & Woody Harrelson were in the cast I thought it just might have something. Sutherland is great at underplaying characters and leaving you to do a bit of work but he really did nothing in this film except add his name to the cast list and collect his fee.

I wasn't really complaining. I was more curious at the mass reaction to a mediocre film.

Any 'symbolism' to report? Or do you not see that kind of thing?

You gotta love AJ he tells you at the top of the show he doesn't know whether the author has written this as an anti-NWO alert or whether she wrote it as a predictive conditioning piece and he needs to get her on the show but before he gets 5mins in he's talked himself into it "It's programming!"
