In early 2011,Jeff Hanneman contracted necrotizing fasciitis. According to the band, doctors say that it likely originated from a spider bite...Hanneman withdrew from active touring in early 2011 due to his condition. By 2012, bandmate Tom Araya had announced his recovery from the disease, however later in February 2013, Kerry King revealed continuing health problems that kept him from working with Slayer.Jeff died on May 2, 2013 near his home in Southern California's Inland Empire. He was in a local Los Angeles hospital and suffered liver failure...

Spiders are active hunters and rely heavily on their bites to paralyze and kill their prey before consuming it. They also bite in self-defense. While many spiders will never attack animals larger than themselves, some—e.g., Atrax robustus—exhibit a rather aggressive behavior and will stand their ground when approached by larger animals. Most spider bites, however, occur when humans unintentionally press up against spiders and receive a defensive bite. On rare occasions, spiders may make prey mistakes and bite a human finger or other body part as though it were a caterpillar or other such insect.

Anything HELPFUL ? If you were living in LA and I predicted a mega quake and you left town that day and you survived while thousands died would you call that helpful? :conf:
